COVID-19 makes it difficult for people across the country to access medical examinations and treatment, and many are also wary of the risk of infection when visiting crowded places such as hospitals or clinics.
To support the community during the pandemic, Doctor4U, a family doctor clinic, is offering all online health consultations free of charge via the Doctor4U App and the Hotline 1900 636 508, answering all questions related to common diseases and guiding treatment and healthcare at home.
To make an appointment for an online consultation with a doctor, users need to download the Doctor4U App on Google Play (for Android) or the App Store (for iOS) and create an account and select a suitable doctor and consultation schedule. If they want to have online consultation via video call with a doctor, they need to register for an appointment on Doctor4U in advance.
Doctor4U hopes to help people in pandemic-hit areas access remote medical consultations and provide answers to disease-related questions anytime, anywhere, and help them feel more secure during social distancing. |
When registering, they need to input their personal information and symptoms and the desired consultation time, so that a suitable appointment can be made. After that, Doctor4U will confirm the appointment and provide guidance so that the user can best prepare for the online session.
At the appointed time, the doctor will use the video call feature to start the consultation. Once the consultation is finished, the doctor will update the diagnostic information, treatment recommendations, and prescriptions (if any) on the user’s medical record.
Since the start of the campaign in July to support the community during the pandemic, after the fourth wave had broken out in Ho Chi Minh City and southern localities, Doctor4U has received hundreds of calls each day to its Hotline and appointments via apps from people seeking advice on pediatric, cardiovascular, digestive, neurological, dermatological, and diabetes issues, among others, from Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, and other nearby provinces.
The calls were primarily from patients with chronic diseases or those who need periodic examinations but have been unable to do so amid the pandemic. Doctors can answer all questions relating to COVID-19 as well as vaccinations.
